Wide-Grip Chin-Ups (Pull-Ups)

Wide-Grip Chin-Ups (Pull-Ups)

Description

Grasp the chin-up bar with a wide overhand grip. Pull yourself up until your chin clears the bar, then lower yourself back down under control. This is the most fundamental back-width exercise. The wide grip emphasizes the outer lats, creating that V-taper that is the hallmark of a great physique. Arnold performed hundreds of chin-ups in his training and considers them irreplaceable for back development. Variations include behind-the-neck pull-ups which further emphasize the upper lats.
