T-Bar Rows

Description
Straddle a T-bar row machine (or place one end of a barbell in a corner). Bend forward and grasp the handles. Pull the weight up to your chest, squeezing your back at the top, then lower under control. T-bar rows are one of the best back thickness exercises because the fixed path allows you to use heavy weight safely. Arnold used T-bar rows extensively—they were a staple at Gold's Gym. The key is to pull the weight into your lower chest/upper abdomen and squeeze the shoulder blades together.
