Lying Triceps Extensions (Skull Crushers)

Description
Lie on a flat bench holding an EZ-bar or straight bar with arms extended above your chest. Keeping your upper arms stationary, bend at the elbows to lower the bar toward your forehead (hence 'skull crushers'), then extend back up. This exercise emphasizes the long head of the triceps, which makes up the bulk of the triceps mass. Arnold used lying extensions as his primary triceps mass builder. The key is keeping the elbows pointed at the ceiling and not letting them flare out.
