Description
Sit in a leg extension machine with the pad against your lower shins. Extend your legs until they are straight, squeezing the quadriceps hard at the top, then lower under control. This is the primary isolation exercise for the quadriceps. Arnold uses leg extensions both as a warm-up before heavy squats and as a finishing exercise to fully exhaust the quads after compound movements.
