Hack Squats

Description
Using a hack squat machine, position your back against the pad and shoulders under the shoulder pads. Lower yourself by bending your knees until thighs are parallel or below, then press back up. The hack squat isolates the quadriceps more than regular squats because the machine stabilizes your torso. Different foot positions change emphasis: feet low and close = outer quads, feet high and wide = inner quads and glutes. Arnold used hack squats as a finishing exercise after heavy barbell squats.
